Rachel, I am not a writer, I love to read, I love to listen to books especially if the reader is exceptional. Your writing is eager like spring and delightful like summer. You are always a blessing to me. One day we will meet and I will hug you like a daughter.
A beautifully written ode to growing patiently in God's grace. I have recently been re-reading Hemingway. Rachel, your writing surpasses in that you offer hope.
Rachel, my husband sent this to me because of how close to home it feels. Why do I feel so rushed to write in the season of life with littles? Great reminder to live a little more and to enjoy scooping up crumbs.
love reading your writing Rachel , you are so real and it is reflected in your words, may God continue to bless you and Evan as you serve the Lord, parent your beautiful children, and write beautiful inspiring words for all of us to read.
"...how beautiful everything seems once it’s almost over." The bittersweet truth of this line right here and how it's resonating with my current season with my adult kiddos being launched out of our nest. Grateful for your words!
I love this vision of the writing life. Especially the beach cabin at the end when suddenly you have the time but it doesn’t feel so urgent. You capture all the different pulls in all the different directions. Wanting to be read but not famous like Hemingway. Loving the attention, but also prioritizing your relationship with your children. The crumbs and the Quasimodo gait.

Well this made me tear up!
Yes, isn’t it pretty to think so?
"hobbling
like Quasimodo after picking up my massive baby at the
wrong angle"
The struggle is real, thank you.
This one lands for me.
Too real. Sigh.
Wow. Thank you for that perspective.

Love this.
Outstanding! I need to print this out and post it on my bathroom mirror!
lovely.
Hi! This is so beautiful.
Ps: your readership includes someone from a small city called Nairobi 😊
How beautiful!

This made me cry because it's exactly where I am right now too! As a mother and a writer and trying to figure out how they fit together.
Lovely ❤️
