Beautiful, Rachel. What's bringing me joy? Well, it's not the wind. Please stop. But... I've been productive today—writing, doing laundry, cleaning the house, etc.—which brings me joy. 😂
My 3 year old’s curiosity and creativity is bringing me joy today. Immersing myself in her pretend world reminds me there is hope—that this world is not all there is. That there will be a new heaven and a new earth soon, and that’s not pretend!
How wonderful Rachel that you're able to see the ordinary, even frustrating moments-of-life (in the company of little children no less!), with a holy perspective and in light of eternity. / My joy today comes from a sense of accomplishment, completing a number of tasks on the to-do list.
I love how your writing is full of grace and Jesus is the center of it all.
Today I had joy in making music with my children - we are learning to play the hand chimes. We had the special joy today of sharing our music with the residents in a local retirement home.
Hi! I'm MaryAnn! Today's moment of joy came when I ran across an old friend, and instead of just saying "We should get together sometime!" like we so often do, we actually pulled out our calendars and made plans for lunch next week! So there's joy now, and there's more joy to look forward to next week!
3 glorious weeks with 22yo granddaughter. Crying inside with joy as she shares her life with us. Baking together, making Thanksgiving plans, walk with dogs, taking her to the Bible study I teach with women newly out of prison, her kindness and interest in their lives. My heart overflows
So lovely, especially how you gave the reader space to feel joy and sorrow together. Reading Murder on the Orient out loud with our 13-year-old and Jesus Storybook Bible out loud with our youngest gave me joy today.
Joy, a daughter, grandchildren, friends, a visiting delightful 2 year old. Reading the Bible in times of trouble. Meals with friends new and old. The sun shining on chilly November days.
Oh, you read my heart with this one...so down to earth, practical while capturing the beauty of life going on through all the angst and such...I want to know, what did you tell your little one about "Why God Made the Moon"? I'm sure it was simply profound...

You can pluck the thread, Rachel. So refreshing.

Lovely memories of babies give me joy. Seeing the next generation. Seeing faith in action. Thanks Rachel!

“Morning babies
piled up like fresh laundry”
I feel the squishy softness of baby cheeks …
Love 💗
